Your
Viewpoint
You are IN FAVOR of the monument.
Your Great, Great, Great
Grandfather fought in the Civil War and you have participated in a Civil War Re-enactor
unit for several years. You want to let the citizens of the town know what it was like to
be a soldier in this war. You believe that many citizens do not understand the experience
of being directly involved in a war. You hope the monument will honor the soldiers who
fought and sometimes died in this bloody war. In your mind the monument should be a
tribute to soldiers who gave their lives in the conflict.
