Welcome to the cutting-edge technology of the airbrush tanning industry: a beautiful tan-UV free.

How does Airbrush Tanning Work?

The active ingredient (which is FDA approved), dihydroxyacetone (DHA), reacts with the amino acids (proteins) in the outermost layer of your skin.  Our process is done with a natural sugar cane bronzer with caramel tint.

How Long does the Tan Last?

It really depends on how you care for your skin.  If you moisturize and take care of your skin, your tan will last longer.  If you wear your skin hard, take long hot baths or showers, wear clothes that chafe, or do anything to encourage the skin to “shed,” so goes your tan.  It lasts approximately 4-8 days.

How is the Tanning done?

The process is done by hand with a machine that sprays the DHA on.  Doing this by hand  enables even coverage.  Every technician is a trained professional.

What Do I Wear for my Airbrush Tanning Session?

Wear loose, dark colored clothing to the tanning session and for 8-10 hours after the application has been applied (be sure to wash undergarments out that evening).  If you are a woman, you may wear a bathing suit, undergarments, or opt for no lines-we are professional.  If you are a man, please understand that although we are professional, we are professional women and therefore require that men wear something.

What is the Difference between Being Airbrushed and Using Sunless Lotion?

Imagine the difference between wearing oven mitts over your hands to smear paint over your car and using an airbrush machine to paint it.  Even with the greatest of care, and help from a friend to get all the places you cannot reach, you cannot duplicate the evenness and natural look of an airbrushed tan.

How Do I prepare for my Airbrush Tanning Session?

For the best results, shower and exfoliate the skin beforehand.  Make sure your skin is free of all lotions, oils, gels, perfumes, deodorants, and any other products (including make up if you want your face tanned) that may create barrier.  Do not use soap or a scrub that is oil based prior to your airbrush session. Pull up your hair and pin it off of your face.

Make sure you have eaten prior to your session.  Due to the sweet smell, if you haven’t eaten all day it can make you nauseous.

How safe is Airbrush Tanning?

The active ingredient DHA is derived from raw sugar cane and has been FDA approved for cosmetic use.  DHA has been used safely over the years in numerous sunless tanning products, such as creams and lotions.  The premium quality products we use are manufactured with the most advanced method available.

Taking care of your new tan!

Immediately after your airbrush session you should NOT:

1. Put on tight clothing.

2. Wash your hands (wash only the palms of your hands).

3. Exercise (perspiring immediately alters the chemical reaction).

4. Do anything that makes you sweat for at least 6 hours.

5. Swim or otherwise immerse yourself in water.

6. Take a shower/bath for 8 hours or longer if possible.

7. Scrub your skin (Don’t use bar soap-use a shower gel and a wash cloth only).

8. Sit on leather furniture, car seats, etc or they will get “tanned”.

If you get your skin wet TanFaster can not be responsible for the outcome of your Airbrush tan.

You will continue to get darker for up to 6 hours after your session.

Expect the same results you normally experience from a natural suntan.

Realize that this is a topical application and it is only intended to last a few days.  Please understand that if your skin is not prepared correctly some areas of the application may not adhere properly. Tanfaster can not guarantee results in these situations.
